How are the products made?

All our products are hand-poured by Trina, the creator of Berry Handcrafted! We use only 100% soy wax, and tested many different formulas until we found the very best for our candles and wax melts. All additives used when creating our products, (including dyes, mica powders and fragrance oils) are all vegan-friendly. We take great care whilst making each and every product, and every item is individually quality checked to ensure everything we sell reaches our high standards!

How do I look after my candle?

With any candle order, you will receive a candle care card which details ways in which to get the most out of your candle. We recommend burning your candle for at least 3 hours upon first use, which helps ensure an even melt pool. Always trim the candle wick to approximately ¼ inch between burning, (before relighting the candle), which reduces the amount of soot being released during burning and maintains the wick. Please be aware, ‘mushrooming’ of a candle wick (in which the wick resembles a mushroom shape after burning), is completely normal and cannot be avoided, but can be managed and reduced with care. Always burn candles in a well-ventilated area, away from fire hazards and never within reach of children.

Why has my candle set uneven after burning?

You may find that a candle you have purchased has set unevenly after being burnt. This is a common feature of soy wax candles; soy wax is a softer wax than paraffin wax, and therefore does not set completely flat. This is completely normal with soy wax-based candles and in no way affects the quality of the scent or the candle.

Why is there smoke coming off my wax melt burner?

You may find whilst burning our wax melts, a white vapour appears to be coming from the wax melt. This is a result of the fragrance being released from the wax during burning and is completely safe and normal for wax melts. With certain scents, we use the maximum amount of fragrance oil (to ensure our products smell as fragrant as possible!) which means vapour can appear whilst burning. However, if you are using an 8 hour or larger tealight, this may be smoke. Only ever use a 3 hour tealight with wax melts. Each wax melt order contains an instruction card; please read and follow our instructions to ensure you are getting the most out of your product.

My wax melt looks slightly white, is this ok?

Our wax melts and candles are made from 100% soy wax. With this comes frosting; where the wax looks like it has a slight white coating in parts. This isn’t on every product and doesn’t affect the quality of the product at all. This can happen on both melts and candles but is completely normal!

Something I want is out of stock, when will this be available?

We try to ensure we always have your favourite scents available all the time, however if for some reason we are low or out of stock, we aim to restock within 2 weeks so you can shop your favourites as soon as possible! Please bare in mind that Christmas is our busiest period so we cannot guarantee all scents will be available in November & December

How long will my order take to arrive?

We are currently working to ensure we dispatch all orders within 3 working days. We’re a small, independent business, and orders can sometimes take longer to process! Please allow an additional 2-3 working days to receive your parcel once dispatched. If your order has not arrived within 6 working days, please get in touch using our ‘Contact Us’ page, and we will get back to you as soon as possible!

How long will it take to respond to my query?

We aim to reply to queries as soon as possible, however please allow up to 48 hours to receive a response.

How do I return an item and what is your refund policy?

If you are unhappy with your Berry Handcrafted product, we are more than happy to provide you with a full refund, as long as the item is unused and in the original condition and packaging. We will need photo proof of the product before returning. If it is a case of not enjoying a product once used, this will not be refunded. If you are wanting a refund, visit the Contact Us page of our website, and get in touch with your order details and allow 48 hours for a response. You have 14 days from the day of purchase to contact us about a return, any returns placed after this date unfortunately not be refunded. Please allow up to 10 working days for the refund to be processed and appear in the account used to originally purchase the products.

Are you CLP compliant?

We are a fully CLP compliant and insured business. All of our candle CLP labels are on the base of the tin. All CLP melt labels are on the back of the jar or box.
